Q.    Do you have a shuttle or transportation available to the hotel from the airport?
A.    Unfortunately the hotel does not provide transportation to and from the airport but there are several options available to you. These options are:
-Taxi: Cost=$30-$40 one way, Travel Time=approx. 25-40 minutes
-Shuttle: Cost=$8-$12 per person one way, Travel Time=approx. 45-75 minutes
-City Bus: Cost=$2 per person one way, Travel Time=approx. 60-90 minutes

The taxi is the quickest way to the hotel, but is the most expensive. There are several companies which provide shuttle service to Waikiki from the airport and the travel time will vary because the shuttle will stop at several hotels before arriving to ours. I have listed a few of the more popular shuttle services below. It has been my experience that Robert's Hawaii is probably the most consistent in delivering a good customer experience.

The city bus will also make stops, but the nearest bus stop is about ½ a block away from our main entrance, so if you are traveling with a lot of luggage, this may not be a viable option.

Q.    Do you have parking available within the hotel and how much is it? Also do you have a car rental facility close by?
A.    Thank you for considering the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for your upcoming visit to the islands. We have a Hertz Rent A Car on property and they do actually store their vehicles on site or within the hotel so it is a very convenient feature. I recommend making reservations in advance. We have had some incidents when large conventions are in town when all car rental agencies are sold out. So just to be safe I would recommend that you make arrangements now. If you would like to use our in-house Hertz Rent A Car service, their number is 808-973-3637 from 7am to 3pm daily. If they are close feel free to call the airport location at 808-831-3500 24 hrs a day.

We offer our guest the choice of self parking or the convenience of valet parking. Self parking is $24.00 per day and valet parking is $29.00 per day for hotel guests. The self parking lot is located in the first 5 floors of the hotel and is accessible very easily from the resort's guestrooms. Valet parking is located in the first drive way as you approach the hotel from the intersection.

Q.    Do you allow smoking in guestrooms?
A.    As of October 2006 Marriott International has gone "smoke free". In addition, in November of last year, the State of Hawaii passed several measures banning smoking in public areas through out the state. Unfortunately as a result our hotel does not allow smoking in our guest rooms and balconies, and some public areas such as our stairways, corridors, and walkways. The hotel has provided a designated open area for our smoking guests located at the Pualeilani Terrace next to the Kealohilani Tower pool.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you. If you should have any questions, or if I may be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to call.

Q.    Do you have a NCL desk within the hotel? Do they offer transportation to the pier?
A.    We do have a NCL desk within the hotel that will have more information for you. They do offer transportation to their ships at $10.00 per person. One advantage going with NCL is that your bags will be pick-up for you at the hotel and will be taken to the ship for you. This service would require at least one day advance notice to NCL. You can contact NCL desk at the hotel at (808) 923-2987 should you have any further assistance.

Q.    Do you sell NCL tours or should we go to the concierge desk? What services does the NCL desk offer?
A.    We do have a NCL service center within the hotel that offers guest services from baggage handling, cruise ship arrangements, and land tours. We also have our own concierge desks that are available to all guest of the resort. The concierge desk can also arrange tours and transportation for you. If you would like to use our concierge desk for your arrangements please let me know and I will forward your email to them.

We do not, however, offer NCL excursions. Again, if you were interested in tours that are offered through NCL I suggest you contact their service center within the hotel. Their number is 808-923-2987.
